According to the Japanese government, they have not been as forthcoming as they should have been about the disaster at the Fukushima nuclear plant. Japan raised the accident level at the damaged Fukushima nuclear plant from four to five on a seven-point international danger scale for atomic accidents. It seems it is almost a LAST DITCH EFFORT to save the plant form a total meltdown.
Further, the weather has turned very cold and snowing and the elderly are really starting to be affected from the length of the initial tragedy. Japan has acknowledged they underestimated the amount of damage and have apologized foe not being quicker in the initial responses.
