PRINCE FIELDER MVP of MID-SUMMER CLASSIC 2011 ALL STAR GAME

Prince Fielder helped the National League team win the Mid-Summer Classic by beating the American League 5-1. Prince Fielder hit a 3 run home run in the bottom of the 4th which helped hush all of the booing the home crowd was doing to Prince.

PHOENIX -- Arizona's fans booed new villain Prince Fielder every chance they got, letting him know what they thought of his choices for the Home Run Derby.Milwaukee's big first baseman sent them a message with one big swing of the bat: shhh!Shaking off two days of boos, Fielder hit a crowd-shushing three-run homer to earn All-Star game MVP honors in the National League's 5-1 win over the American League on Tuesday night.

PHOENIX -- Prince Fielder's three-run homer sailed over the left-field wall at Chase Field, and the conveyor belt from the National League bullpen began.

One after another, a hard-throwing pitcher walked to the mound -- well, one of them sprinted and slid into the infield feet first -- and then shut down the American League's hitters for the second straight year.

With pitching, speed and a little bit of power from the Prince, the NL is king of the All-Star Game once again, using the same formula that worked during its dominating run in the 1970s and '80s.
